Nilex Tackifiers are a valuable binding and lubricating agent for use with hydroseeding and hydromulching operations. Tackifiers promote smooth operation of hydraulic seeding equipment while effectively holding loose straw mulches on the ground. Tackifiers can also provide a short-term, economical dust control solution.
Nilex offers two types of tackifiers. The first is a premium organic 100% psyllium fiber derived from the outer coating of the seed (Plantago) and the other is a biodegradable, plant derived hydrocolloid polysaccharide (Guar).
Plantago Tackifier is highly durable and forms a firm, resilient, re-wettable membrane which secures the surface. It can be used in applications such as erosion control, dust control and seeding.
Guar Tackifier allows for greater spray range from turret or hose runs. Guar Tackifier improves fiber dispersal on soil contact, producing a uniform erosion resistant cover and holds seed in place until vegetation grows and stabilizes. Guar Tackifier is ideal for projects where the use of natural biodegradable, organic products are preferred.
