ArmorMax is a durable, flexible armouring system for severe erosion challenges. Constructed of a woven three-dimensional High Performance Turf Reinforcement Mat (HPTRM), the ARV system provides a lightweight protection layer that is securely anchored with earth percussion anchors for long term design life.
The ArmorMax ARV system is designed for use in non-structural applications where additional factors of safety are required over conventional Turf Reinforcement Mats (TRM) where staples or pins alone are used to hold the TRM to the soil.

Erosion control applications include protection to stream, river, and canal banks from scour and erosion, and earthen levees from storm surge and wave overtopping. This system is ideally suited to protect stormwater channels in arid and semi-arid environments where vegetation densities of less than 30% are anticipated.
Advantages:
- Durable, flexible armoring system
- Withstands extreme hydraulic stresses
- Resists non-hydraulic event damage
- Stormwater Best Management Practice (BMP) proven to reduce erosion and reinforce vegetation for low-impact, sustainable design
- Easy to install
- Aesthetically pleasing and cost effective when compared to conventional methods such as rock riprap and concrete paving

For structural applications, the ARV system can be engineered to provide surficial slope stabilization to resist shallow plane failures that typically occur after heavy rain or during spring thaw.
