Stormwater Chambers

Nilex Stormwater Chambers replace conventional stormwater retention or detention systems such as ponds, swales, pipe and stone trenches or beds, or concrete structures. The chambers may be used for drywells. They may be installed in trench or bed configurations according to site restrictions or client preference.

For commercial applications, the placement of stormwater management systems beneath parking areas allows for further site development without sacrificing land area. Since retail development is often directly related to the number of parking spaces available, subsurface installation of stormwater chambers maximizes land use and capability of additional parking spaces.

In residential applications, chamber systems control roof and driveway run-off by eliminating ponding and allowing for alternative land use such as swimming pools or tennis courts. These systems also meet local stormwater management regulations.

The advantages of Nilex stormwater chambers:

  • Serve environmentally sensitive areas while making valuable land available for parking lots, athletic fields
  • Allow for controlled infiltration into ground
  • Replenish surrounding soil and aquifer
  • Avoid stormwater overload or pollution of natural surroundings
  • Installation requires less area and crushed stone in comparison to conventional systems
