Multi-Flow™

Multi-Flow™ is an economical and environmentally friendly option any time a conventional aggregate drain, such as a french or trench drain, is being considered for applications including roads, playing fields and golf courses, and venting systems.

Multi-Flow

The Multi-Flow system provides significant cost and environmental savings by minimizing the amount of spoil material that is excavated and transported from site, and the amount of drainage aggregate that is processed, transported and placed on site.

While taking the form of conventional strip drain, the Multi-Flow Drainage System features round, perforated drainage channels that provide a large surface area for water collection and a highly efficient means for moving excess water from saturated soils. The nonwoven geotextile jacket acts as a filter to minimize the intrusion of soil particles into the drainage structure.

The Multi-Flow system is flexible and easy to install and is available in 6”, 12” and 18” (150 mm, 300 mm and 450 mm) widths. A wide variety of connectors, tees and other fittings are available to facilitate installation.

Nonwoven Geotextiles

Made from the highest quality polypropylene fibers, Nilex's Nonwoven Geotextiles are needle punched to form a strong fabric that retains its dimensional stability, adding years to the life of any roadway, railroad, landfill or civil/environmental engineering project.

Nonwoven Geotextile Swatch

Used in subsurface drainage, separation, stabilization, erosion control and cushion applications, our geotextiles are resistant to ultraviolet (UV) degradation and biological and chemical environments.

  • Mass per unit areas range from 3 to 17 oz/yd2 (100 to 575g/m2)
  • Superior chemical resistance, even in the most aggressive environmental applications
  • Staple fibers are needle punched together to form a sturdy fabric capable of withstanding construction installation stresses
  • Contains additives for maximum UV resistance
  • Available in custom rolls sizes

NuDrain™ Sheet Drains

Nilex NuDrain Sheet Drain materials replace or reduce the natural drainage aggregate used against structures such as retaining walls, foundation walls, bridge abutments, lagging walls and soil-nailing applications.

NuDrain™ Sheet Drain

Prefabricated drainage systems are easy to install and save money. These systems also reduce the impact on the environment by minimizing the amount of drainage aggregate processed and transported to a project site.

Nilex Nudrain™ WD10, WD15, WD15(WP) and PD20
The Nudrain WD and PD series of drainage products consist of an impermeable polymeric sheet cuspated under heat and pressure to form a high-flow dimpled drainage core.  The core is then bonded to a layer of nonwoven (WD series) or woven (PD series) geotextile. The geotextile retains soil or sand particles as well as freshly placed concrete or grout, allowing filtered water to pass into the drainage core.

Nilex NuDrain™ DN50-1
NuDrain DN50-1 consists of a heavy-duty, high density polyethylene geonet drainage core with its ridges heat fused to a layer of nonwoven geotextile. The geotextile retains soil or sand particles as well as freshly placed concrete or grout, allowing filtered water to pass into the drainage core. DN50 is available with geotextile on one or both sides.

NuDrain™ Strip Drains

Nilex NuDrain™ Strip Drain products are an economical and environmentally friendly option any time a conventional aggregate drain, such as a french or trench drain, is being considered.

Nilex offers several types of strip drain configurations to suit a variety of applications including roads, playing fields and golf courses, foundations, venting systems and other applications requiring chimney or rock drains.

NuDrain™ Strip Drain

Nilex NuDrain materials provide significant cost and environmental savings by minimizing the amount of spoil material that is excavated and transported from site and the amount of drainage aggregate processed, transported and placed on site.

NuDrain strip drains are lightweight and complemented by preformed connectors and fittings that make installation easy.

Nudrain SD60 SD120 SD180
The Nilex Nudrain SD series consists of an expanded polymer core (approx. 25 mm thick) encapsulated by a highly permeable geotextile wrap. It is available in various widths including 150 mm, 300 mm and 450 mm.

Nudrain MD7407
Nilex Nudrain MD/7407 strip drain is a wick drain-type material commonly used in low-flow drainage applications, such as curb drains and for venting in containment applications.

Stormwater Chambers

Nilex Stormwater Chambers replace conventional stormwater retention or detention systems such as ponds, swales, pipe and stone trenches or beds, or concrete structures. The chambers may be used for drywells. They may be installed in trench or bed configurations according to site restrictions or client preference.

Stormwater Chamber

For commercial applications, the placement of stormwater management systems beneath parking areas allows for further site development without sacrificing land area. Since retail development is often directly related to the number of parking spaces available, subsurface installation of stormwater chambers maximizes land use and capability of additional parking spaces.

In residential applications, chamber systems control roof and driveway run-off by eliminating ponding and allowing for alternative land use such as swimming pools or tennis courts. These systems also meet local stormwater management regulations.

The advantages of Nilex stormwater chambers:

  • Serve environmentally sensitive areas while making valuable land available for parking lots, athletic fields
  • Allow for controlled infiltration into ground
  • Replenish surrounding soil and aquifer
  • Avoid stormwater overload or pollution of natural surroundings
  • Installation requires less area and crushed stone in comparison to conventional systems
